I read in a few places about editing and making our own tactical templates...for the team as well as individual players...
Unfortunately, those threads read like a sick inside joke and asuume everyone is a programmer...
I have a few questions and please tone down to as basic a level as you can...my programming knowledge is very limited...
After opening the file, which I managed to do, do I just make changes and then save the file? I tried it but couldn't find in in the drop down...
Should I use 'save as' instead of save to create a new file?? Otherwise, if I make a file for every player, won't it keep on over-writing my previous file and mean I have only the last template for the last player I make?
Seeing that the template has every position listed, how do I create one for just one player? Do I delete all other positions?
If I use the main file to make changes to one player, will the other instructions for other players be changed as well?
Assuming I finally can get this done...during a match, if I make a sub, I just change the setting of that one player? What about set pieces?? Must I then Tweak those like I've been doing before using the template?
I just realised there's no place to select a team template in the game...
If I have changed my template on all the positions of the team, how do I select it during a match?
Assuming I can make a team tactical template, meaning I have written instructions for every player in my team (which I still have no idea how to do...can only write for positions right? Stiker, target man etc...), what if some of the players I have written for aren't playing??

I suggest just get in there and make some tactics its all very straightforward, then if you still have questions they can be answered here
Did saved as...but couldn't find the file in the game...btw...have made around 30 files...one of each player...cannot find a single one inside the game...

Thanks mate, but you've answered only one of my many questions, which didn't help...maybe I should wait for more answers before crashing my game by fiddling around in the dark...
Basically you just need to copy/paste the things between: <record>...</record>, add them to the end(before </list> , make the neccessery changes and save the file(you don't need to create new files for every position). And in the game where you set your Player Instructions, there should be a button named: Set To, there you can choose your instructions.

Still, couple of questions...so after I copy and pasted, I just remove 'name' and put in my player's name yes?
