One approach is to use team selection method.
I had a problem with a system I was using, in as much as one tactic used a DM playmaker, and the other used a AM. So each time I changed tactic, I would have to delete the playmakers, and set new ones. Not much fun when you move between these selections often.
I found the team selection method very good at eliminating this issue. To use it, first select the tactic you want to use. Then select the first variation of the team. The go to team selection and save it, say as 'Team A'.
Then go into the tactics screen, set the new playmakers, make changes etc. If you want to make changes to the actual tactic itself, save the first and leave it alone, and use the variation for these tacticaladjustments. Save the tactic, then go to team selection, save another team as 'Team B'.
So to move between your teams you will now see Team A and Team b in the team selection dropdown, which will not only select the players, but also select the right tactic with all the correct playmakers, corner takers etc etc
