i play a 4-3-1-2 atacking formation or a 4-4-2 counter most of the time

i generally doninate possession and have a lot of chances say between 10-20 shots a match

my problem is missed and wasted chances. please do not say get betetr strikers as my strikers are amazin eddie johnson, zarate, lima and more with finishing all over 15 at least

they seem to put them wide alot they just dont seem to score i shoudl be winning 11 nil most matches instead i concede a soft goal and rue missed chances

If you are playing a counter attack, then you have a high tempo. Quick tempo means your players rush, and as a consequence they can create lots of chances but do not finish them because they are rushing.

I would lower tempo to the middle and see the results.

Sorry to double post, but composure is usually vital for scorers. The higher the composure, the more they will score.

well firstly what no8 said above could be helpful but on the other hand hopefully your help will be delivered with the release of fm08 cause besides rushing and composure stuff, there is a problem in the game about the things you said..

As said tactics, player quality etc won't change this greatly, particularly if the keepers are of equivalent ability as your strikers. Check out this thread http://community.sigames.com/eve/for...1/m/6612056423 (sorry don't know how to embed html link) particularly what chopper99 says at the bottom of the first page about it being a flaw in how the match engine represents chances as this in my humble opinion makes the most sense. If you are a top team and consistently dominate then the match engine has to skew the effects to avoid crazy scorelines. Personally speaking in my first season in the premiership after promotion I consistently was dominated in matches and found the AI missed alot of one on ones, although I did take several drubbings.

High morale is essential for your strikers is very important as well! Make sure you boost their confidence with "I have faith in you" or something similar
