I was wondering how i could create a link man striker that kaka like kaka play in rlf for milan where he scores his fair share of goals but can also drop deep and play in a killer ball. any help would be apprecitated
ive pretty much got those same instructions with Van der Vaart in my Hamburg game, and it sounds like the thing you want too. my main playmaker is my DM who spreads the play all over the pitch. my AMC (Van der Vaart) wasnt getting involved much, so i put him on a free role, and put forward runs and runs with ball on often. he's my top goal scorer and got the top assists in my team too

Your tactic sounds like a good option can you host it somewhere please? I am very keen on the AMC role as a free one also, this sounds ideal. I like the idea of a playmaker behind also.
Something that seems simple to me, but seems not to be opted for in many of the prefered tactics I check out online:
Set the mentality of your STs to 18-20...pushing them way up. This will pull the defensive line back.
Set the mentality of the AMC LOWER! Maybe 15 (or even lower). This will give him room between the midfield and the back line. You do not want your AMC to get swallowed up with the strikers and back line.
Also depending on the kind of player you have at AMC, putting your SC on sarrows and putting the AMC on a farrow can be very effective. This can also work when you put both STs on high creative freedom and Free Roles and push the AMC forward.
For whatever reason AMC have been less effective for me in free roles. Some STs and Wingers work well, but AMCs seem to be best without it...I do like high creative freedom for all attacking players (except big targetment centre forwards).
