I was just wondering if this feature/setting has been taken away, or if it's just moved to somewhere else in the game. To be honest, training is not the section of the game that interests me the most, but on the other hand I feel that if I don't do anything about it, AI will make my team suffer.

Is there any way of putting you ass.man in charge of all this, and rather hire a great ass.man?

You cant do this. But its a good idea.

Another option is perhaps to download one of the "proven" successful, fan made schedules, hire the best coaches you can and leave them to it.

This is what I've done myself and I spend next to no time on working out training schedules.
