That depends on the rest of your defensive unit. If you have other quality CB's then keep him on the right and vise versa, he's just as good in both positions i reckon, but he is a bit on the short side for a CB.
TIP: Key Attributes (*=most important)
Full-Back:
Positioning*, Tackling*, Marking, Workrate, Pace & Acceleration* - absolutely vital. Other attributes are usefull aswell of course but all good FB's will have these.
Centre Back:
JUMPING!*(far more important than heading ability), height* (v. important), marking, tackling*, composure, concentration, positioning, pace & acceleration* (if CB has pace then attributes such as positioning become less important). Note: slower defenders need excellent mental stats (in particular anticipation, concentration and positioning)
check which positions most accurately match Richards' attributes and the decision should become alot easier
