I'm starting the Demo with Derby county. Defence needs improving especially with the fullbacks. Needs midfield improvements, mainly on the wings Also a faster TS is needed. Completely stuck for decent cheap players to bring in. Anyone got any ideas?

Can only suggest one option im afraid, play a better team and dont support the rams, maybe nottingham forest

could you pull people in on loan? also, it might be good to look at who sunderland and birmingham are tring to sign, as they could be looking for the same sort of player as you, for the same budget (roughly)

Due to the tricky nature of my opening fixtures Modric, Pearson and Barnes have been mostly used as subs and bought on as/if needed to get a result. Barnes (when fit) for Teale, Pearson for Lewis and Modric for Todd (swap DM to AMC). Star of the team is undoubtably Kenny Miller who has scored in virtually every game. Now if only we could do this in real life...

I'm playing an attacking Diamond formation using Samuel and Felihaber behind the front 2 (though i'll prob start using Giles Barnes there as well as on the right wing as he gets more fitness).

Top scorer is Eddie Johnson with 4 goals in 6 league games. Miller is yet to score and i'm starting to prefer Howard...though when Pinilla is fit i'm hoping to go with him.

So i'm 12th...not the greatest start to the campaign, and I've got Portsmouth, Sunderland and Man Utd next.

Well the "season" came to an end, thought i'd give a little summary here for anybody who's thinking of being Derby when the full release is out in a couple of weeks.

Okay well first up, Derby are sat 10th in the league, with a neutral Goal Difference. I've had a few great results (2 - 0 vs Chelsea) and some shockers (4 - 1 at Tottenham).

Obviously i've made a few signings, my best have been Samuel (40k from Rayo) and Eddie Johnson (2.6m from Kansas City). The Derby fans absolutely LOVE Samuel...they think he'll be a great bargain signing, and he's got the best average rating in my Squad (and he's still a little nipper)...

Not great performances really, but they've done a job for me so far. The main problem is my defence, Davis gets a lot of yellow cards and gives away too many goalscoring freekicks, whilst Tyrone Mears plays badly, constantly loses the ball when we're counter-attacking, and was "at fault" for about 10 goals throughout the demo.

So anybody wanting to be Derby will need to sign a solid Centre-back (to partner Andy Todd who is pretty good) and a reliable right-back.

Definitely sign Eddie Johnson adn Samuel...they're all sorts of awesome (and Pinilla has started to pick up a bit too).

That's it, between that and some of Maxjam's signings I'm all set to turn Derby into a solid Prem team come mid-october.

oh p.s this screenshot was moments before I got hammered 4-1 by Tottenham and drew 1-1 with Liverpool...the media called it spot on, but it amused me that Derby and "title race" were used in the same breath.
