I'm not sure if this thread should be here or the bug forum..Well, I'm also not sure if it happened to anyone else...

You see, in my game, I've seen a lot of excellent players been bought by mega giant club such as Barcelona and Real Madrid..They pay huge money for these players and Lo & Behold...These players aren't being used at all...Good example in my game is Ben Arfa, Barca bought him for something like 23 million pound, yet he played just three games for them..wow..also, in my game I've seen Diego almost every season begging his club(s) for more first team opportunities...

Maybe the AI team is trying to get these players accustomed to their playing culture but why take one whole season to do that? Has it happened to anyone else? I may add a few screenshots when I have the opportunity....

Or is it Shaun Wright Phillip syndrome?

Is this a bug? Because it basically denies other teams to buy these players...

Maybe they buy 'em then realise they have much better players than the one that they've jus' signed.

As I'm in 2015 season, I will try to compile a lists of good players who've been bought by AI clubs and rarely used them..As in Ben Arfa case, most people will agree that he's class, Barca bought him from Lyon when he's 24 years old (if I'm not wrong)...put him in cold storage for a season, then sell him to me for 15 million quids...

Same thing happened to Ben Arfa in my game, he went to Chelsea at 28 years old for some ridiculous fee and they never even play him! Next season he's so upset he will even come to Watford (Although the club reputation is Continental, you would think he can do better.). But Chelsea want £28,000,000 for him and I'm not paying that for a 29 year old when it's 1/3 of the clubs finance and I have Lulinha and Kerlon to play AM

Will it ever happened in real life? I doubt it unless you're Chelsea...And the player is Wright Phillips...But he's been a regular for Chelsea now...

There are other players as well..Diego is another example and he ends up jumping from one club to another..Also, Vagner Love..

Part of it is that AI teams see great players and buy them, without realising they don't actually use a formation with that player's position...

When I was playing CM2 version, I used to do that also..I bought the strikers and gks that I hate playing against and put them in the freezer...hehehe...

Yeah, Arsenal bought N'Zogbia from me for £16.75M, and he's had one game out of a possible 18. Kinda sad, but I ain't gunna complain.

If you had a boatload of money and you were driving a Ferrari, which car would you buy as a backup in case the Ferrari breaks down? I'm guessing it would not be a 1000 dollar rustbucket. You'd buy a BMW/mercedes/Porsche and let it rest in your garage until you actually had need of it.

Have you tried to play as Barca or Real to see how much money these teams generate from merchandising, season tickets, etc without having to sell anybody? Spending 30m on a quality player to use as a backup or in case of an injury crisis is teh normar course of actions for them.
