Have you tried to play as Barca or Real to see how much money these teams generate from merchandising, season tickets, etc without having to sell anybody? Spending 30m on a quality player to use as a backup or in case of an injury crisis is teh normar course of actions for them.

good point however people are talking that players arent used at all and i doubt that Barça's Ferraris never break down, and players like Ben Arfa, Diego etc etc arent used at all, in fact i think that any of those 2 players could play in main team for any team. and all players have a break down in their performances through season and thats when the backup players are used however AI doesnt do that, the AI just uses the best players that are available and AI judges players by CA/PA
