just got fm08 for xmas, and go straight into a game with ac milan. i wlways try and buy pazzini from fiorentina, and from playing the demo i understand he's available for about £17m. having offered £19m doesnt cut it with them at the moment due to the rivalry between the clubs. how much extra would it take, and does it normally take to persuade rival clubs to sell you their players?
Unless you have a good relationship with the manager you will end up paying way over the odds. But you can see why, imagine the backlash from the Fiorentina fans selling their best players to their rivals. Didn't the same thing happen when Baggio went to Juventus?
Keep on praising the manager and player and hope other teams get interested then it becomes easier to unsettle him.
Yes, It's ussually not worth it going for high-priced players from your rivals. They'll ask more than 30% more than they want from other teams to sell teh player to you. And if we're talking 20m price ranges, you get shafted big time.
Italian teams suffer from this as the rivalries there are abundant.
buying some kids from them seems to decrease the rivaleries, also accept their bids for players that you're selling. after 3 seasons my rivals already let me bid for their best players that are also being bided by other clubs and they also ask for loans, i sent lulinha 1 year to my rival on a loan and they did a nice work on him, played 4 games and he scored 3 goals
