I do not know if this is a universal problem or one just affecting me. Here is the story.
At the start of this save I appointed an Assistant manager, reasonable stats, seemed OK.
At the start of the second season, one of my players fell out with my assistant manager and it made the news. I'd had just about had enough of the player in question, so no problem, ship him out and maintain the harmony in the camp.
No problems for a couple of years, then at the start of season 5 I start getting comments that the players do not like how the manager talks to them at half time and full time team, during the pre-season warm up games. Now I have my assistant managing friendlies so I take a bit more notice. Four of my key players are unhappy. What the heck is going on. Still, not a problem, I'll ship the assistant out at the end of the season.
Stone me, into the season, the newspapers announce that the relationship between my assistant and my best player has broken down. The player is unhappy, and I am seriously p1ssed off. Out goes the silly sod costing me compensation for firing him.
All in all, an intersesting time and :thup: to SI for realism, even if it cost me in the short term.
I had a piece of news in my current savegame as well, saying that one of my players would dislike the ass man. I ignored it, thinking that they player should get along with it. Hey, he's getting paid - a fact that distinguishes a ****ing job from holiday! So stop the whining.
Well, couple weeks later, more people started whining publically about the ass man, so I sacked him. Promoted one of coaches then to Ass Man - specifically the one with the highest Discipline value.
Well, there is something i think funny about my Assist.
He sais in his report over the star playes of my squad that the player is lazzy!
Well man, the player have the best form of the squad an is fighting for be the first on the league... The training is excelent, improved a lot since the beggining of the season, and the Work Rate is 17!!
Nice. This is one of those cool features in FM or CM games which never seem to happen to me, although in this case just as well. Nice to know there is always something new to screw with your team.
Have just had a similar event - three of my players have reported a bad relationship with my assman in the media - he's new and started at the beginning of the season. yet none of them are unhappy, or mention him as a "dislikes portugeezer assman" comment in their personal tab....
Nice touch. Never had a problem with my AssMan, who's been pretty good, right up until last night when he walked out to join Roma () as a scout.
I mentioned it in my update, but my recent "new feature" discovery was the ability to choose my own budget from a list offered by the club - do I want transfer cash or wages? :thup: That was really :cool:
Nevar had a problem with my assman, His stats (10-14) were great for the conference but now that I have made the premiership his stats look pretty sh;te... I'm keepinmg him for sentemental reasons, he is Irish
