People seem to be missing my point slightly. It's not the top players I'm after, it's the quality young players in the lower divisions.

The scouting system needs a complete overhaul imo, although I don't think I'm the first person to say that.

Phil, I have noticed the same thing. Once you get up in the divisions, the scouts stop finding very many quality youngsters. Perhaps this is as designed since you should be getting a decent crop through the "academy" each year. Still, I think it sucks. A good young player is a good young player. A LL club can find them and then they'll sell them to you, so we might as well be able to find them first

I'm nearly sure on previous versions of CM/FM that you could send your scouts to look for youth players only. I wonder why this was taken out ?

Good point. If you try limiting the scouts in the Premiership to players under 21, in my experience you literally recieve no reports.
