Holy sh;t that three season update was longer than my 12 year career. If you want to play with limitations, then play with limitations the trick is don’t tell anyone here. If you are playing with your own personal limitations then what you are saying inadvertently is that I’m so f@cking good at this game that I have to make it tougher on myself, and the rest of you are a bunch of losers(It’s true but the truth hurts)…. I’ll let you into a secret so long as you don’t tell anyone. I never take anyone in on loan, IRL this is unrealistic as LL teams are always loaning players from the bigger team. Personally I prefer to see my runny nosed 17year old kid get some pitch time even if he does get badly embarrassed. So welcome to LLM

As a matter of fact, I did happen to mention that, mkus.
The smiley caught my eye and I read the "added a couple of my own" line, though I couldn't be arsed to read on and find out exactly what those restrictions were.

Thanks for the welcome, Ian, I fancied a different challenge and a way of getting away from 14-year olds asking about pancake day on CM! And everyone else, thanks for the advice, it's been taken on board! Hogie, I promise you it's got nothing to do with arrogance and everything to do with the fact I've got no idea what I'm doing on FMO6 (or I didn't have when I started) so I wanted to learn the tactics side before I worried too much about transfers.

Agonising, we missed out on promotion on the final day after we could only manage a draw in our final game and missed a penalty as well. I managed to hold onto my Scottish centre-half though he’s unhappy I rejected a bid from a Championship club, I’d picked up the 21-year old that I’d had on loan last season after his newly-relegated Premiership club released him and he was my top scorer. A quiet season on the transfer front, it didn’t help that I lost two of my four scouts after they were poached by League One clubs. One promising youth player, a midfielder who turned 16 over the season, came through and he’ll play more next season. Better luck next time.

1st in Conference South (91pts), (FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round, FA Trophy Semi-Final)
Third time lucky, we won the division by 17 points and only lost twice all season. My star Scottish defender surprised me by agreeing a new contract after he’d said he was unhappy and he starred as we built the meanest defence in the English leagues that season with only 15 goals conceded. I put out a reserve side in the Cup competitions all the way through and that was a worthwhile exercise as I spotted a couple of youngsters who could make the grade. The only downside was that I lost my star striker, the now-22-year old left for a League One side after they met his minimum release clause. But the 19-year old kid I’d signed in Season Two has made good progress and I picked up another decent-looking Welsh 20-year old forward after he was released by a Premiership side, they’ll be my first choice strikeforce in the Conference

15th in Conference National (57pts), (FA Cup Third Round, FA Trophy Quarter-Final)
Neither one thing nor the other really, we never looked like making a push for League football but never threatened by relegation either. My strike pair made good progress, the Welshman I signed on a free was our top scorer with 29 league goals but he’s got a low release fee and I could well lose him soon. My star Scottish defender is still here, despite attracting the attention of quite a few League sides, but I lost one of my stalwarts when my veteran midfielder, the guy who scored that penalty that kept us up in Season One, announced his retirement at the age of 37. That meant I made my first purchase for cash, a 20-year old Irishman who’d been on the books of a top Premiership side but who we picked up from a lower-league side for £12,000 after he impressed in the Trophy against us. We reached the third round of the FA Cup, losing away at Burnley, as well.
