Anyway, my point was that I think there's more nonsense nowadays because there's no short sharp flaming by an expert, effectively ending such stuff. Now every wannabe regular feels the need to hop on the bandwagon and pseudo-flame people, which drags on until a mod is around to stop it.

What do you suggest, Julian? Or are you just reminiscing?
The pseudo-flaming you speak of seems to have died down recently, now there's barely any flaming at all. |

I'm not really sure, if I'm honest. A short sharp flaming is part of interweb tradition, but what passes at the moment is dire. As you say,it's been a bit calmer lately though.
Do we need to be more agressive? I doubt it, but then as you already know I'm hardly the most aggressive individual.
Do we need another mod or two to help Ian and Pete out? Maybe, but it's not for me to decide. And who's a suitable candidate anyway?

I'm not really sure another mod is needed. Over-regulation is not always a good thing, IMO. A short sharp flaming works wonders but it takes a certain type of individual to deliver them when they are barely warranted.
For example, JV here didn't really deserve one, but if a cutting 'get back in your box' was delivered by someone who knew how, it would probably deter others.

I don't even think that's a bug, they may not have liked his managing style, and decided not to give him a contract.
But this isn't an LLM topic, either. Just because it happens in an LLM game, doesn't make it "LLM."

Users do tend to go AWOL after becoming mods
Mind you, with Ian and Pete at the helm we're in very capable hands.

Look at the debate I have caused.
I suppose I need some clarification on this. I started my game with Cowdenbeath, Scottish 3rd division, and climbed the ladder to Forrest.
I have previously posted on my career with Cowdenbeath, following the 3 season rule etc.
My question is this, because the team I am now managing is not classed as Lower League am I not allowed to post any of my save game updates/experiences in this forum? That's basically the impression that I'm getting.
