I'm sorry for asking a question but I must. I'm currently playing a lower league team in Belgium called Leopoldsburg. The first season I got promoted to the second division against all odds, but after this tragedy has struck. I've completed my fifth year in 2nd Division and I cannot progress any further. Every year even though I always get a safe mid-table position I am tagged to be the favorites for relegation and the odds are against me in every single game even against the newest promoted teams.
I cannot improve my squad in any significant way because no one of value will sign for a team tagged for relegation. Add this to the fact that my team will not go professional even though I have 2 million pounds in the bank and good facilities. This has formed a circle that will not break and I cannot go any further in my game. Can anyone give me something I can do that will break this horrible cycle of being tagged for relegation and thus not being able to sign good players despite a huge wage and transfer budget? Thank you.
Best thing to do is get relegated. You'll be 'tagged' for promotion then.
We don't do tipping, Astralis. We just stick at it and find a way to deal with these tribulations. The cycle will end, one way or another (promotion, relegation. new job).
Haha, new job? My repuation is nil after six years. Maybe it will go up to local at 12. Players from lower divisons won't even sign with me. Nobody knows this club exists. This truly is the twilight zone. I guess it doesn't help that we were established in 2002.
Bloody hell the same thing is happening me in my Basingstoke game. I have been tagged for relegation for the last 3 years and each year I have just scrapped through... I can’t sign and good players for some weird reason all the good players want to play for Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelski and Arsenal.
