Wow - they must be strong, those Hungarian drinks, if just TALKING about them elicits a hangover </BLOCKQUOTE>

Good God, there's me booking a trip to Hungary (well to Budapest anyway) and the forum is suddenly full of Hungarian LLaMas.
So where do I get the best beer in Budapest lads?
I don't remember Budapest for the beer. It was generally watery sh!t. But the Turkish Baths were something to remember. One of the best experiences I've ever had! Make sure you pop along and don't be afraid to go with just an apron over your bits with bum showing out the back. My mate wore his swimming trunks and was quite embarrassed. He ended up taking them off like the rest of us.
Avoid the strip clubs. The women were gorgeous in the one I went to, but it was £15 to get in, the drinks were about £5 each and the girls expected you to buy one for them as well. Comical moment of the night was a stripper asking my mate if he wanted to buy her a drink and he said 'No, but you can have a sip of mine if you like.' She didn't look too pleased.
My two centre backs retired as they said, one of them became my assistant. My two youngsters played well last season, but they were not ready to play a whole season in the middle of my defense, so I loaned an ageing D L/C from Ferencváros.
I have to say that last season I lost my faith in all my strikers, so I put them all on the transfer list except for one. (the club owes him a lot. He was the reason why we were promoted from div.3 7 years earlier.) I loaned a youngster from Szolnok, and signed a Hungarian (but Serban U21 international) on a free. He was released from Vojvodina. He looks awesome!
There are lots of clubs after my star dm, but I will only sell him at the end of this season. Hopefully I will get promoted, so I can ask for more money.
We have a good chance of promotion, but hopefully, we can beat a team or two in the UEFA campaign.
This was our season! It started with some miracle wins (in lots of matches we scored 3+ goals, and conceeded 3 in 14 games!), particulary my new serban striker was in good form (13 goals),but my dm (8 goals, all from free kicks) and the loaned cb (7 goals, all from corners) also did well.
Once again the winter brake came at a wrong point, which resulted in a few defeats, but the UEFA-cup saved my season. In the UEFA-cup I triumphed over poor teams like Sheriff Tiraspol, Maribor, Litex. When I was in the worst mood (because of league defeats), I was drawn with Ipswich town. In the first leg, I was beaten 4-0 by the English, but home I won 4-1. Unfortunately we left the cup, but this victory against Ipswich proved to be a boost, which resulted in winning the NB1B, and promotion in the end. The fans were extatic. (IRL we were drunk for a week when we were promoted...)
Supporters player of the year: my DM, with 12 goals, 14 assists, and an avr. rating of 7,88. (he is too good for a Hungarian team)
In: 1 (free)
Out: 5 (3 free, 2 retired)
Surprise of the year:
the Hungarian national team won against Holland (3-0!)
Bastia won League 1 again
Hertha win UEFA cup.
Surprisingly I did much better then expected. Relegation was never threathening, and at home I usually won. (5 draws, all the other home games won!) The away form was a shame, but everyone was very pleased with the 5th place which we occupied at the end of the season. When I was absolutely sure I will avoid relegation, I was paying more attention to the cup. With only team paying attention to the cup (my best team playing against some reserves), I effortlessly reached the finals, and won the cup against Ferenváros. Whos knows? I can earn some money, or beat a good spanish or italian team in the UEFA cup next year.
Supporters player of the year: My new CB, who was a rock of my defense, and scored 6 goals (from free kicks), and had an avr. rating of 8,07. He was also runner up for the Hungarian player of the year award.
Surprise of the year:
Hungary reached the playoff stage in the Euro Chaps. qualifying, but was beaten by Russia. (like in the good old days ...)
The Euro 2008 final: Croatia-Spain 2-2 (Croatia win 4-0 on penalties)
After the average performances in the leage last year, I realized that I need some quality replacement players for my team. I didn't sell anybody, but released a few no hopers from my youth squad, promoted a fine young F l/r/c from the U19's and bought 2 players. A hungarian international F R/C from MTK, and a young but talented guy from Dunaújváros. He can play in all the defensive positions. (He is my first good sweeper, which position was greatly missed last year) Before the season the squad looked fine.
To my surprise, the media looked at diosgyor as title challengers.
Our ran again started with easy wins against bad Eastern Europen teams (Flora, Arsenal Kiev, Sherriff Tiraspol), and to my satisfaction, we were drawn with a big team: Parma. What was even more of a satisfiing event, that we miracously triumphed! (1-0 win away, 0-0 draw home) Unfortunately we were beaten by our next opponent Blackburn. (Some idiot reserves striker chose this match to shine. He scored 3 goals, all from free kicks) It was a disappointment that we were uttered by this mediocre team, after we have beaten the mighty italians.
Supporters player of the year: My hungarian(serban) striker, who scored 28 goals, had 11 assists, and an avr. rating of 7,65 in 38 apps. (4 hungarian clubs want him, but luckily they can't afford him)
Surprise of the year:
Bastia win League1 again! (That must be some manager!)
Champions league final: Hertha - Milan 1-1 (5-4 on penalties)
