Just another rant here. After several delightfully agonizing season with Albion Rovers, I made the SPL. Now I find out that the local council "due to popular opposition" (wtf??) won't approve ground expansion. So, since Cliftonhill is a rubbish little park (at least in terms of capacity) it looks like the wall has been hit. In reality we shouldn't even be allowed in the SPL due to ground requirements, but it looks as though it won't matter. It just bothers the $hit out of me that after all the work and effort, I might as well pack it in and go looking for a new club, as Albion Rovers have probably reached the zenith. Plus, the dam board didn't even turn the club Pro upon promotion from the 1st Div. Garr!
My first FM2006 game was with Albion Rovers. Also reached the SPL, and thankfully had no problems with the ground expansion. The Cliftonhill had been expanded a few times, but the council never blocked it in my game.

Really...hmm, I must have got a bad random number generated then . If I can avoid relegation, maybe another crack at it will be successful.
That is the trouble with realism … some times it is just too much in you face real.
Sounds like a plan to just keep asking them year after year. I am only guessing here but once you win the SPL the CL and the world club cup the council may relent and let you put some deck chairs on the side of the pitch.

Or I could just move to River Plate, though I hear it's damn hard to win the Champions League with them.
It’s very easy to win The Champions League with River Plate although they call it the “Fósforo do copo de encontro a você sob a equipe dezoito. …Apologies for my Portuguese online translators suck
