i once bought a 32 year old striker, who was number 2 on the top-scorer list last season. After a few games he got a 6 month injury and he decided to announce his retirement from professional soccer. I think i cried then.

Not really a signing, but have a useful 33-yr-old utility midfielder/forward. Wouldn't re-sign earlier in the season, but accepted a 1-year contract extension in May, just before his contract expired. Two weeks later he busts his ligaments and is out for 12 months .
