Signed a young striker and M RC for some good money 11 and 15 Mio SIT (which is high in SVN league; well at least for me). Striker got injured for 4 to 5 months on training and MRC for 4 to 8 months.
What I hate more than anything is you see this dogs ******** player from foreign parts. You just have to have him and you spend your entire transfer kitty on him. After a week the little b@stard says he doesn’t like it here and wants to go home. .... you have to laugh or you would cry

I still suffer (despite too many years in playing this game) the old "I bought him so he must be good" syndrome where I perservere with a player far more than I should. I suppose I just hate to admit making mistakes on the game.
3k on a superstar preston north end reserve defender. I'm sorted I think, he can head and tackle, hes a bit slow but he is decent off the ball this guy will shore things up.
Next week hes in the papers saying I should build the squad around him and how hes all the next england player with a bleeding head.
The whole team hate him, took me 2 seasons to save up that much cash!
At Gillingham a couple of big transfer deals left me rolling in cash, so I spanked £7 million on a Brazilian midfielder. The fans went out buying replica shirts in their thousands. He's an instant club favourite. I sit back and wait for the sexy football to begin.
Unfortunately he's sh1te - in every position on the park. 15 caps for Brazil and he can't manage a 7 rating for the Gills. Worse, I can't give him away for free. He's obviously up to his neck in tarts in the nightspots of Gillingam and doesn't want to leave the club.
On the other hand, when a signing goes right it is a marvellous feeling.
I loaned in a young AMR/L ST as cover for my left winger one season when one of my players suffers a long term injury. The boy done good but really looked the business wehen I played him up front for a few games. He broke his leg though and was sent back to his club.
Next season he was a touch upset about not getting any first team action but he would not come on loan to me (why not you twat, you did last year).
At the end of the that season he put in a transfer request and I tried to buy him; no dice, would not even consider coming to Hyde.
I tried loaning, I tried loaning with intent to buy - no chance.
Finally, in the February, nearly two years after he had originally joined us on loan, he agreed a transfer deal for £9K and joined us in the close season. He scored 32 goals in 39 games last season, even with a 2 month layoff for injury. Persistence paid off in the end.
I prefer to remember this one and not the ones that did not work out.
The players I sign after doing well during their loan period usually turn out to be crap. A defender turned down Rangers and a couple of Championship clubs to join my Cambridge City team after impressing during his loan spell. Now he's averiging 6.80, and getting sent off every third game
funny enough i do make bad signing and do i rarely get someone good, my best signing so far for my stoke team is ariza signed on a free transfer(brilliant for a target man in the air)
