Yep, I love FM2006. I can't put it down for the life of me: I bought three games within a week of each other (FM, Civ 4 and The Movies) and the other two haven't had ten hours' play between them yet: not because they're bad - I just can't stop playing FM.

Another one who bought The Movies, thought it was just me. Tbh though it's a bit too tycoony. Hollywood mogul is a far better game imo.

I agree with all that's been said - people that I know that have played FM/CM in most of it's guises say that this version seems to really hit the spot with the amount of satisfaction gained from in game success. No other game that I've come across (especially football ones) rewards continous, diligent play with such a feeling of satisfaction when it (finally) does go your way.
We all know the rough edges (vague scout reports, some strage AI decisions etc) but the depth, realism and sheer feeling of acomplishment gained all make up for these.
Right, I've waxed lyrical enough. Back to work.

Let's see:

CM01/02: longest save was until 2022 (started at least 10 saves)
CM03/04: longest save somewhere in 2019 (only started one save)
FM 2005: longest save somewhere in 2020 (started 2 saves, shortest one is in 2019)
FM 2006: longest save until now in 2017 (only one start)

So for me it's almost like the others. I have to admit I disliked CM4 a lot after I sold a player to some other LL team for 1.2 billion pounds.

2006 is my favorite tbh. When I was playing 2005 I stopped playing after around 2 months and picked it up 3 months later. With FM2006, I can't stop, I have to play every day, I'm addicted :o Like today I feel ***** because I don't have time to play. Luckely I have the rest of the week every night available

Tbh I lost a bit of interest when I lost my Pomorac save. I'm going back there now to see if I can get the addictedness back

I started back in 97/98 which was a version I found very addictive. The only version I really didn't like was CM4 which I found to be a real disappointment! So much so that I went back to an older version. I must admit that this version has got me more hooked than most other incarnations - it really does have the "just-one-more-game" factor about it.
