I'm in my first saved game under FM2006, and I just noticed that my ambition dropped from 10 to 7. In FM2005, I never noticed my ambition rating moving up or down, but maybe this is something that was tweaked for FM2006.

There were a couple of recent news items about clubs sacking managers and votes of confidence, but given that I'm only in my first season, I have no interest in trying to apply for jobs. But maybe the game has noticed this and lowered my ambition rating. That seems rather quick to me.

In all other media interaction, I've been expressing a lot of confidence in my club and getting high marks for dealing with pressure and media handling. So it definitely can't stem from not having ambition to achieve results with my present club.

What sort of ratings have the rest of you experienced, especially since most of us stick with obscure clubs for the first few seasons?

I've actually had some ratings that aren't registered...not even a zero I don't pay any attention to them, to be honest. I know some guys agonise over how to improve some, but it's never interested me.

My 'ambition' lurks somewhere from 1 to 4, but never any higher. Not sure if it's a bug or not, really ? Either way - it's not really a showstopper - more cosmetic than anything else.

My 'temperament' is dropping like a stone as we approach the end of the season and my team talks following bad results get a bit more 'honest'.

But my loyalty, media handling and professionalism are 20. Ambition is about 8 or something.

I'm one of those guys that agonise!!!

And worse.. the game must me playing tricks on me because i have palyed hal a season this poit and NEVE had any contacts by the press.

Hmmm i think its a bug if you get really low ambition points, eg i have it at 3 at the mo, but seeing as i have just had two succesive promotions surely something is wrong.

I rarely look at these. Usually at the start of a game my loyalty drops to 1 within a few months then I spend the next few years working it back up.....

I have noticed that ambition is linked with things like declaring interest in jobs or players that have a higher reputation than you're currently at. And if you knock back job offers to higher rep teams it drops your ambition. I think it has nothing to with success at your current team, and rightly so. Everyone's looking at making their current team successful so achieving success should not point to ambition.

As I said though, I really couldn't give a toss.

I might be wrong here as I have never actually studdeid it but it seems to me that there is, to some extent a trade off between ambition and loyalty and so, on that basis, there is no point worring about you "manager stats" as you can't achieve straight 20s anyway!

well (and this is FM05) my ambition is 20, yet I've knocked back loads of higher rep jobs, declared no interest in any jobs or players that I can remember. I don't think the manager stats can be taken too seriously.
