It's that time again. With the permission of Ian, I'm doing this thread on a 6-monthly (game time) update basis as I get little time to play and the way I play means I'll get through 2 league games a week
Anyway,
Sept 2005:
I decided to pick Stafford Rangers as I know nothing about them whatsoever. At the time of writing, I'm 6 games into the season, 14th in the league with 5 transfers in (2 on Loan) and 5 out (1 on loan). My form is indifferent at the moment but there are signs that with a bit more tinkering and a bit of llm luck, we might actually win a game or two in a row!!
Oh yea, forgot to mention that I promoted 3 kids from the Youth. Needed a tea boy and a boot cleaner. The third kid was promoted because his mum does a wicked job washing kits when they are dirty.....
stafford rangers is a fun club to be at, some random striker managed over 30 goals in 20 games while i was there! then bury offered me a job, they're in thousands of pounds of debt and look likely to get relegated. I think i made a good choice.
Just had to update on this as this will prob never happen to me ever again! Was playing an FA trophy match. 3-0 up. 10 mins to go so I decide to tell the keeper to go up for corner. 5 mins later we get a corner. You can guess the rest!! I must have woke half the street up with my celebrations....

B@stard, I had a keeper that was 6'7" and I kept sending him up for corners, must have gone up for 20 without getting close to the ball! I decided to stop this practice when the opponents finally score against me into an empty net
I'm a Stafford Rangers fan, come on The Boro!!! Good luck you're going to need it, I manged promotion in my first season with them, but the Conference National is a torrid place and I went straight back down!

He actually scored? Well done. My keeper does this (without me telling him to) and I shout at the screen for him to get back ("Didn't you see Luton V Liverpool?")... Maybe I'll just let him get on with it.

Yeah, but Robbo is better than you and will keep them up in 06/07 !!
