Third Division: Divided in 16 small groups, each having 4 teams. Teams are divided so that they don't have to travel long distances for group matches.
The first and second team in each group qualify for the second phase, which is a Play-Off consisting of 16 clashes. The competition continues in a Cup format until there are four teams left.
These teams will then form the group for the Final Stage. They play against each other twice, and the Champion and 2nd position teams get promoted to the Second Division.

I'm managing a team in Denmark at the moment that Frank found me.
It's not a problem getting out of the bottom league but after that it gets really tough.
The players that are available don't want to come and play for you, cos you're crap. And without being able to improve the squad you can't get promoted.
This isn't something I've found in England, where it is relatively easy to improve your squad season on season due to the large number of players available.
Although I agree that England appeals most to me because I like getting the team promoted lots, rather than winning the same league over and over.
I've just started a game in the Brazilian league - I'm Mogi Miriam In C3. A couple of things are confusing me, firstly my star player is on loan to Botafogo until the end of 2009 (I'm a the beginning of 2006) and I can't find a way to recall him - as far as I can tell all Botafogo are doing is paying his wages. Another is the Copo do Brasil - is this competition by invite only? The first round has just been drawn and includes a mix of teams from all the divisions in Brazil but unfortunately I'm not in it. Help!
I wasn't in the Copa do Brasil in my first season but after a good league performance that season I appeared in it in my second season so I think its linked to league perfromance. Not sure which league though as I won both my state league (Rondonia(sic) - not hard) and my 3rd division group.
Wish I hadn't qualified though as i got my heaviest ever defeat in any version of CM or FM.
Brazilian Cup works on an invitation basis. I'm pretty sure it depends on team's reputation, which can be increased by winning.
But I could be wrong, because there are some non-league teams invited. Maybe they have finally implemented the fact that there is a certain number of teams from each state playing it.

Last time I checked it, it was going to stay with 20 teams, and the discussion was on the number of teams descending/ascending each season, with some people defending 2 and other people defending 4 as the magical number.
But, since football is such a mess in Brazil, you could be right. Or we could both be wrong. :p
I'm not sure if it an LLM game. But Singapore is quite hard too, in terms of winning the regional championship. The League itself is easy to win with the correct players/tactics.
