Have a read of the LLM History thread, Bigglesworth, and save us all a lot of pain.

Newbie: Which is the best LLM team to play with?

Seasoned LLM Regular #1: River Plate

Seasoned LLM Regular #2: Damn hard to win the Champs League with them!

Rest of the LLaMAs: +1 etc...

Can't say if you were the first though Jordi. It's been around a long time, maybe even that first thread.

If you start the Swedish league in 2005, it's easier to get promoted, as they create 2 14 team divisions out of nothing - you can get promoted if you finish 5th out of 12.

However, from 2006 onwards, you have to win your regional second division, then win a playoff.

So I found out. My team of no-hopers couldn't get into the playoff spot in the first season... then I find out you have to win the division to go up after that.

I got lucky - my team has a few excellent youngsters, and I jumped straight to the first divison elite.

I found Northern Ireland and Italy impossible, as well as Indonesia which was also incredibly boring. The English leagues I think are pretty easy in comparison.

Never had much trouble to get promoted in Northern Ireland, but I am starting my 5th consecutive Conference season

I've started in the conference south and in the Brazilian 3rd. It was MUCH harder to get out of Brazil's basement. Even if you dominate your division, there's a whole load of teams you've never seen before and never played against trying to stop you in a complex playoff system.

Brazil was my favourite savegame of all time, I think.
