They find plenty of players. But none good enough to improve the team. It's like they're still in lower-league mode.
I suspect it's because I only have a medium database size and only Scandinavian leagues loaded. They've never found a single player from outside Sweden.

Swedish cup: Out again in 2nd round
No big signings this year, but a central defender comes of age - scoring 7.75 over the season. This makes all the difference as we tighten up at the back and turn some of those draws into wins.
We're in with a shout of the title going into the last quarter of the season, but a few injuries expose our lack of depth in the squad. Still, I'm over the moon with a 3rd place finish and European footie next time out.
I'm unexpectedly thrust into some random Scandinavian competition I've never heard of. It completely ruins my holiday plans and I'm not sure how seriously to take it. In the event it's academic as a strong group of teams kick the arses of both my first and reserve teams.
Hmm. Sweden seems to be one of those leagues where teams can remain semi-professional even in the top division. Do you think this is why my players start agitating to leave whenever they get half-decent?
Well the club's rep is national - which seems to be as high as any in Scandinavia. OTOH I can't seem to nudge my own rep beyond local so that's probably got something to do with it. A bit harsh on a national cup winner, I reckon.
In other news, a certain girly-haired Czech striker has just been released from Liverpool on a free and snapped up by Brighton & Hove Albion. How the mighty are fallen.
