They are currently in the Northern Premier League Division 1 South. Is this league simulated in the game? Sheffield Needs to be promoted twice to get into a playable league. I know you can't play the Northern Premier League, but does the league and teams exist in the game?

If that's correct, is there a possibility that Sheffield F.C may get promoted into the Conference North if I simulate a few years? Or does this league and teams not exist? I would really like to play Sheffield F.C, as they are my club I support.

Just use the editor and swap them with another Conference North team.

If I am doing LLM that would be against the rules right? And Sheffield aren't in The Conference North, they are in the Northern Premier League Div 1, two leagues down from the Conference North. So that won't work I don't think.

If I remember correctly, only teams one league under the first playable league can be promoted, so simulating a few years in England you will "see and play" teams actually in NL3...
So listen to Passer-by, use the editor...

Hi Danny,
Unfortunately only the teams in the division below the lowest active league can be promoted 'into the game' ie can become playable. Hence only teams in the Northern, Southern and Isthmanian (sp?) Premier Leagues can be promoted to the Conf N/S (assuming you're running those divisions). Hence Sheffield FC can't be promoted into the game, no matter how many seasons you simulate.

Your best bet would be to either swap your team with one in the Conf N/S using the editor (as the poster above said) or swap them with a team in the Northern Premier if you want them to be promoted at random in the game (you may also need to boost their reputation significantly as well).

Oh this sounds very good. I will have a look at the editing thing. But Sheffield F.C are going allright this year. So they have a chance of being promoted. Thus, in FM 2009 I may finally be able to play them. (Without editing)

So with the editing: the players playing currently for Sheffield FC Will be in the game? And the ground that they play at etc. will be all correct? Thanks for the replies so far.

as a rule the lower down you go the less detail is put, so just go into the editor and have a look they may have have some staff members or club details

just to say if you havnt used the editor before when you put them in a league, be sure to edit another team from league and put them in the lower league.
