ok, here is an idea that will calm the nerves of the disgruntled and take some pressure of SI...that is if they feel any pressure at all.
how about releasing the official list of bugs they are working on. thereby confirming, what is and what isn't a bug. at least we'll have an idea of what is happening and probably a loose idea on when we can expect the patch, based on the number of bugs they are working on.
frankly, SI are not helping the situation by not communicating with the mob which just inflames the situation.
SI don't release a list of bugs like this for very good reasons. People assume that knowing the existence of a bug means it can instantly be fixed, but that is not the case.
With some bugs it can take a while to identify the cause. Some may even have multiple causes, so you think you've fixed it, but there are still circumstances under which it occurs. Many bugs will have an impact on game balance so fixing them may cause other issues.
If SI release a list then what happens is somethings don't get fixed in the time frame, or were thought to be fixed. All that will happen is that the "SI don't communicate" posts will turn into "You said this was fixed - you lied" posts.
From SI's point of view it is better to say nothing than say something and be wrong.

gee..i dont know. they didnt have any problems with releasing a long list of what was fixed up in the last patch with some of those still not working.
lets not treat SI like they were fragile rose petals. knowing what the known bugs are will cut back on the 'whiny' posts ( i actually think they are more valuable then some of the 'well done SI, best game ever, please take my sister because you are gods' posts)

Spot on!!! and thats the reason why like i've said before S.I. should stop tinkering so much with the engine from version to version and actually look at the options that your given outside of the matches e.g the no ability to speak to two players who dislike each other.
By the time they get through sorting out bugs they are at the stage where the game should have been when it was released, then they go and tinker with the engine again in which produces the same problems in the next version.
