I just read that if a physio has high physiotherapy he will be able to more accuratley predict the severity of an injury. Sure, this is useful information, but why shell out thousands of dollars a week if this is all the physio is capable of doing. My questions is: are physiopherapists capable of brining your players back to full fitness earlier, and do they have a role to play in post-match revovery? If not why not?
I have also noticed that a lot of young players with high potential have very good set piece taking abilities. Of course it's good to have good set piece takers, but in my current Southampton sqaud I have players with set piece taking skills above 16, who never gat an oppurtunity to take them. So, I was just wandering if I gave these players no set piece training would they become worse at set piece taking but potentially better at something else?
I know this sounds silly, and would be silly if it's true, but from what I've learnt about training and CA/PA this may very well be true in FM08.
Thanks in advance.

As far as the last point - if you don't train set pieces, those attributes do drop, yes. Of course, if you focus on training in other areas instead, other attributes will rise.

Page 32 of the manual says..high Coaching Fitness might be a good attribute for a physio to have. What this actually means..my guess is as good as yours. But in my opinion, this sentence alone hints that physios are more than just predicting the length of injury layoffs. I'm guessing that the coaching fitness attribute for physios indicates how good they are at preventing training injuries like those weight lifting accidents in the gym!

I would imagine that a physio with a higher physiotherapy attribute is likely to help players recover from their injury a lot quicker. I've noticed several times that with good physios, my players will often be out injured for a shorter period then initially expected.
