hi im in my third season and i have not had any news come up about any teams having being taken over by a new board is this normal? because on football manager 07 there seemed to be one every week

Haven't seen one either now you mention it. Maybe SI changed it so you only get takeover news from the country/league you are playing in.

You don't get news to your inbox anymore. Instead it goes into the leagues news. It's a bit like the awards, if no one from your teams wins something you won't get a message in your inbox.

In the season I was playing as Colchester United, Manchester United were taken over by a new board, it told me in the little news thing when it loads. Hope that helps.
