How come when I took the reins at Liverpool the board said they had in place a 2 year plan to win the Premier League.I sold Kuyt and brought a full back.Anyway..With something like 7 games left I was 7th in the Prem,had 9 million saved in the bank and I got sacked!!
I may have been 7th but I got to the Q.Finals of Champions League and was mounting a Euro Challenge only 10 points behind the leaders.

u got sacked because that wasn't good enough even though they expect you to win the league in the 2 year plan they still want you to be challenging for it in the first year plan 7th just don't cut it my friend.

I guess your correct,but,I saved 9million for the next season.I could have bought a half arsed player but was getting ready for the summer transfer window and budget.I helped Kewell regain his form and also made alot of positive staff appointments.But I guess your right.

being honest. 7th place aint really good enough. You didnt qualify for the champions league which is poor for liverpool. You were right to get the sack. Hows the job hunting?

As Charlie & birdinator said, 7th is an awful position to be with Liverpool and its perfectly acceptable that you got sacked.

my first season at liverpool i got knocked out of the FA cup and league cup in the 4th round. got knocked out of the champinos league in the first knock out round.
but because i had a good run at the end of the season i went from 7th place to 3rd place in the last 10 games and i kept my job

If Liverpool finished 7th iRL, there would be an uproar.

He said he had 7 games left and is 7th, he didn't finish 7th. So only being 10pts off 1st they should have waited to see how you got on.

the problem might be your place in the league however i doubt someone would sack a manager when there's already 7 games to go, but it seems that your board gave up the current season. i also noticed that league performances seems to have more impact then cups/champs performance. i made a savegame where i won champs+2 official cups and lost lueague and then i got fired, restarted the save game and won league but made horrible performance on champs+cups and wasnt fired.
