I have noticed alot of people on these forums find FM too hard, so why not include some options to make it easier in FM 09 for people who haven't got alot of time to create tactics. Now i find this the hardest game but i still stick with it and will keep going regardless of how i do. Heres a few things i think should be optional to make the game have a better feel to it for people who dont want as much of a challenge.
Unsackable Option
More money and wage ption
No work permits option
Even just being able to choose the strictness of your board would be good for some people
A couple of things i thought would make the game more fun would be maybe the ability to train your teams in 5-a-side viewable matches this would increase ball control, team work and a variety of other things.
Also would be good if you could set up youth camps in other countries to try and attract players from that country, getting reports on the youth that has tried out at your academy in say Spain.
Being approached by an unattached players agent for example when i manage a low league team sometimes i might miss out on a good player thats on a free. But maybe if i was approached by his agent in preseason i could give the lad a trial and maybe sign him up to play in my youth team for a season to see how he gets on. I feel this would be good to stop the players with a high PA who dont get picked up from retiring.
For people wanting a proper career game maybe you could start off with a job as reserve team manager or U-21s manager. I know people like to start at the bottom but managing the U-21s of a conference north side would be the very very very bottom.
Alot of people like to add themselves to the game as a player, I think it would be cool to add yourself as player manager when you start the game. Choosing your own ability, i know people will say well you could add yourself to be awesome and that would be cheating. Well the thing is with people saying that is if you pay for the game you should be able to play it the way you want to play it.
This may sound extremely stupid but i think could be fun. You can view how much money you make in your career so what if you could use this, oh no he want to buy cars and houses i hear you say, No i sure as hell don't. I think once you get a few years in and you have earned alot of cash how about the ability to buy a lower league club employing yourself as manager you would be unsackable, you could choose your own feeder clubs, not sell your best players for rubbish offers. It would add a new dimension to the game.
Also if you add yourself as a manager with previous playing experience maybe we could have the ability to put our playing history in the game, rather than just Sunderland being my favourite team i want to have played for them all my career and now be their manager.
The media needs to be improved with more player interaction for example your star triker can be playing well but just not scored it would be good to be able to coment on his non scoring streak to the media. Alex Ferguson recently told the media that Wayne Rooney gets his goals in bursts so look out. Players behaving badly and having to deal with their behavour would be good. The ability to praise a player recently i played a game against Aston Villa with my Sunderland team and i won 3-0 all my team got a 6 appart from Craig Gordon in Goal and Stancu netted a hat trick. I should be able to comment on their performances in that one match. Also i was losing 1-0 away to Arsenal I got a 90th minute penalty and my 18 year old AMC stepped up and hammered it in to score, i should be able to comment on how well he did to keep his nerve to score such an important goal.
We need to have the ability to create leagues aswell setting the nation that the league is and its structure. Also adding leagues to the bottom of the current structure would be an important addition.
Thats all i can think of i know people will disagree but the thing to remember is this game needs more options for people to create a game in their own way, that way SI don't have to please everybody as the option to shut off a certain thing will be in the game. This is also not a rant about what is wrong with the game i am just trying to put across what i feel needs to be done to give people more enjoyment. Sorry if this is a long post aswell lol.

Dont really agree with most of what you said but I do have to agree on the training part. I've been sayin it for ages that the slider bars are sh*t. Its too general, I would prefer to be able to create a schedule for players to concentrate on speicific areas of their game.
Like you 5 a side, crossing, passing or tackling..whatever

Most of the things you mention are available in other management games and imho the reason SI are top of the tree in football management games is that they ignore these aspects in favour of trying to make a realistic simulation of football management.

It would be great that you can create training camp in some other country and play friendly matcehs against teams which are also there on training camps.
Also, I would like that we can create and change in editor system of competition, national and international

I remember that, it was ace I think you could move training 'boxes' around to parts of the day when you wanted the players to train. I liked that a lot. Nice and simple too.

I agree with most parts what you say, it would bring a new and fun dimension to the game. The parts I don't agree with is adding yourself as a player, buying clubs and being U-21/reserve managers. I especially like your idea on training camps.

I think you can already apply for U-21 jobs with international teams. Recently on my save I saw the Egypt managers job available AND the U-21 managers job
