Default Using facepacks.

ok, so. Ive tried my utmost to search the forums regarding this subject but this is leading to more and more confusion.

when i download a pack i want to know where to put it. some people are saying put it in the documents & settings folder, and others are saying put it in the FM2007/data/players folder. which one is it?? one or the other??

lets say i download the italy serie a facepack. do i put it in the data/players folder? if so, do i have to vreate a directory called ita??

PLEASE help this is so confusing!

it goes in: data - Graphics - pictures - players - normal. From there You can just dump it but if you are putting in lots of packs from dfferent countries you might want to start a folder called Italy and put it in there so you don't get them all mixed up.

no it just needs to be in the graphics/pictures/players/normal. From there you can open up folders and name them anything you want. Your Italy pack will have say 37 pictures and a config.xml which is what tells the game what to link the pictures with.

When you reload the game you will see the pictures assuming you go into the preferences and have show pictures ticked on. I'd also turn skin cache off in there if I were you.

Not sure about that. Have you lost the facepacks? When I patched up I took the graphics folder out to protect it in case the patch deleted any of it. THen I put it back in after and joined with whatever new packs the patch had included.

I don't know why people are putting it in documents... dumbasses.

Let me know if it works ok for you.

Just to confuse everybody, I put my facepacks and other graphics in the "my documents/Sports Interactive" folder and it works fine. Its all about clearing/reloading the skin cache I think.

I guess it must work in there too then. I just told him to put it in the graphics folder as I have never seen them put anywhere else. Whatever works for him though.
