How do I make sure they are visible?

Whats this winrar/winzip malarky?

I know what you've got to do ie tick certeain boxes and I have the skelko skin working and thats in a FMF? but cant get any others to work but they are not FMF they are RAR files? Does this make a difference?

Any help?

Cheers

Download Winrar from Here

Once you have done that and installed winrar, Right click the file that is zipped then choose to Open With Winrar. It will then ask you where you want the files to be placed, Just place them onto your desktop for now.

Once you have unzipped the files you wanted unzipped, Just place your graphics into the following directories:

Kits:

My Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2008/Graphics/Kits

Logos:

My Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2008/Graphics/Logos

Faces:

My Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2008/Graphics/Players

Backgrounds:

My Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2008/Graphics/Backgrounds

Balls:

My Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2008/Graphics/Pitch/Balls

Nets:

My Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2008/Graphics/Pitch/Nets

Dugouts:

My Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2008/Graphics/Pitch/Dugouts

I don't know what you have downloaded but you get the picture.

Nice One - Sorted,

On the Skelko skin can I not have the gass as the background? For the matches I've got the grounds which is cool but the green of the grass for the rest of the time is pretty vile

Cheers

You can have any pic you like as background. Just put your chosen background (in jpeg format) into your My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2008\skins\steklo\graphics\backgrounds folder and rename it to 'default.jpg'

You might want to change the name of the original 'default.jpg' file, in case you ever want to change it back, otherwise the new file will overwrite the old.

Steklo even comes with some alternatives already in the folder for you. Just rename any of them to 'default.jpg' and there you go.

You'll need to go into your preferences in FM2008 and make sure that 'reload on confirm' is checkes and 'use skin cache' is unchecked to load it into the game, though.

aqnfiqw - I just made it.

betterspud - is it possible for me to create many 'default' background photos in the skin therefore they'll change every now and again or is it just the one photo? If I can is there anything they need to be called?

Cheers

You should already have a skins folder -

My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2008\skins

so all I did was just create a similar path but swap skins with 'graphics' then within this you can create folders for backgrounds/kits/logo's or whatever you want to download.

Cheers
