In regards to White Flag's last post. I have a laptop with dual core 2ghz processor and 2gb ram. how many leagues would i be able to run with the Huge DB tweak.

This is probably a stupid question but anyway, is putting a bigger db the thing i need to change that creates future young regens that are available on a free transfer?

Cause ive always liked going through the young 15,16,17,18 year olds who are regens and are on a free after each season.

SI had not actually removed the Huge DB. They had hidden it from selection in the League Selection screen. If you want to check what I'm saying, you can open the original national_leagues_panel.xml by yourselves.

Yes, ExamDiff is a nice freeware program for visually comparing text files. Comes quite handy if you're in a development team or like in this case want to compare a text file with another one before replacing it.

And really, "where can I find it?" is not a question you should ask now that you live in the Google era. Just a search for "ExamDiff" would give you a hundred different download mirrors.

could anyone enlighten me as to what the "regen problem" is with the large DB?

Had a look and cant see it in the forums (and the search function is unavailable at the moment).

Mine is just a laptop with 2.26ghz with 1gb ram, albeit it is a Dell XPS, so yours should be at least on a par if not better than mine.
Give it a whirl and see how you get on. I'm a few months in now and still encountering no issues whatsoever with running so many leagues.
Personally I reckon SI have over-egged the potential problems of loading everything.
