BTW where did you find that "trick"?
I have to ask some questions to the person who created this so I can understand how this simple move can truly change the DB management

By simply using ExamDiff on the file to-be-replaced and the original file I found out what the magic was.
SI had not actually removed the Huge DB. They had hidden it from selection in the League Selection screen. If you want to check what I'm saying, you can open the original national_leagues_panel.xml by yourselves.
The user that originally posted this fix just unhid the Huge database option. What effects it actually has in the game, it's up to SI to say.

Newbie FM player here (CM Player previously) who would really appreciate some help.
Could someone help me out here, I have unticked the shin cache and had the prompt to "replace existing file"
But I still don't have access to the huge DB?
I have tried un-installing the game( mainly to get rid of previous settings) with no luck, all the previous settings are still there?
On top of this, In The select Nations panel on loading a new game, I am unable to choose England and all the other leagues I chose in a previous attempted game. They are all greyed out. Any Ideas how to totally re-set the game?
Could this be why my attempt to load the huge DB isn't working?

I'm guessing this can only be done before starting a new game and not 'months' into a save game??

am i the only person who finds it exceptionally bizzare that SI "hid" the huge option??
WTF would you do that, let the users decide what size of db to select SI, we pay (hansomely) for the game, so give us all the options please.
Game is much improved with this DB
