It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default Losing.....the german way

With my Southampton game, there are 3 things happening during matches that occur too frequently to be just a coincidence or "part of the game":

- Conceding a goal within the first 5 minutes of the game
- Conceding a goal right after I scored one
- Being ahead 1-0 or 2-0 and losing 1-2 or 2-3 in the last 5 minutes

I am not playing extremely attacking or anything. My team is quite young, but I have a lot of very talented players (bojan, celshinho, schmoller, sidnei, Bale etc.). I am in 2009

Any that know WTF is going on? its getting quite annoying

thnks!

Recently went through this with Arsenal. Conceded a goal in the first 5 minutes, 5 games on the bounce, and constantly had the opposition 'instant replying' as soon as I scored. I would guess that this is an attempt for the AI to stop you from achieving when your team is too good for it to beat. In essence, the game is 'cheating' it's way towards a level playing field. A few people have stated that it is an attempt to solve the 'super tactic' of old. I agree with this to a certain extent, but it seems as if it's a dirty trick to even the score. If your team is good enough then it should win most games. A lot of people have discovered this now towards the end of FM07's life-span. I can only hope that the system is changed for 08. It's dirty and it's cheap.

Early goals, late goals and quick goal exchanges are happening way frequently in FM that's for sure.

I score a lot of early goals at home because I pushed my team up and play the offside trap. I concede a lot of early goals whenever I play deep against a reasonably good team at home. See the trend?

If I remember correctly, game developers admitted the tendency to score often early in the game, before the half, after the half and at the end of the game.

Why must everyone blame your tactics and say things like 'you see the trend?'. Well i do the things rashidi says and although they work most of the time, they don't stop whats been mentioned.

About time si listened instead of being arrogant and saying, 'no, no it's not the game it's your tactic, the underwear your wearing, your looking at the screen funny' They never actually admit theres a problem with the game.

I remember when the game was first released and they refused to admit there was a problem with the scouting for ages.

Ah well they've lost loads of punters (myself included) for FM08 and if they continue to bury their head in the sand and think the game is perfect and we're all tactical numptys then they'll be out of business and we all get the opportunity to punch one of these mouthy arrogant moderators who ban people for stating the bloody obvious in the dole office while they wait to sign on. Dunno about anyone else but i'm sick of seeing mods talking down to everyone who has something negative to say about the game, like they are superior in some way, see the trend?

Now just sit back and wait for my warning/ban. Do i care? No as i won't be buying the next version so don't need to have access to this forum anymore tbh. Just sick of people trying to take you for a ride and making out you have some sort of brain injury and what your seeing with your own eyes is wrong.

But I see something different from you. Therefore:

a: I am either a mouthy arrogant non-moderator waiting for a punch

b: I have some sort of brain injury as I am seeing things that aren't there

How come you are right and everybody else is wrong? Isn't that what you are blaming the moderators for? Nobody has ever said the game was perfect, but it is a lot better than you seem to allow. Why are you so angry? You won every game up to January (unrealistic) then lost a few (realisitic). Should that really make you so angry with SI?

wwfan read the post properly, it's not the fact that i lost, but that i'm losing in stupid ways in the league, yet everytime a cup game came around i'm thumping all comers (unrealistic)

So you've never seen anything on this game that was unrealistic? Everytime i've ever mentioned or someone else mentions something wrong a mod will tell you your wrong. That is telling you what you saw with your own eyes is wrong.

Do you think mods speaking to people who complain about something, like they were a 5 yr old is ok? If you do think this is ok then i pity you.
