Right, I've been wondering this for a while and read as much as I can on this site but I can never find any conclusive information about it so hence my question: What is composure?
It appears under shooting training and from my general knowledge of football it would seem like the ability to score 1 on 1 chances however through actually playing the game it seems to have little or no affect on the ability to finish 1 on 1 chances and I had a stiker, Anton Smith, with very high composure (well 14 is a lot for a Conference South team) but he regularly missed 1 on 1 chances. Then on the flip side I had a player, Knights (can't think of his first name) who had 4 for composure but regularly scored 1 on 1 chances but he also had a good finishing attribute.
So it doesn't appear to be likelihood of scoring 1 on 1 chances, and then in a video guide on the main site it stated the an important attribute for Central Defenders is Composure, which would be why all world class defenders (Cannavaro, Terry ect.) start with high composure however then why is it obtained through shooting training?
I'm really confused as I don't know whether to look for strikers with high composure ratings or give defenders some shooting training. So please could someone answer the question: What is composure?
composure is basiclly how well a player can play under pressure situations. if a defeneder is under pressure in a tight spot, and has high composure then he is more likely to come out of the situation ok. if low composure then he's likely to do something stupid.
for strikers you need a mix of finishing and composure, say like 15 for both, but if not then it is better to have a player with a high finishing rating then composure.
yeah, i dont think your the only one confused by the training - composure link, surely composure helps with holding up the ball which would be a factor in a short, slow passing game where players might need a lil more time to find a pass...i can see the logic of having composure trained in shooting but really does seem to be a mistake
