Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default Argentinian 4-3-3

My attempts at using 433 have been decidedly mixed, so i only normally use it with about 20mins to go and loosing.

I'm looking for a 4-3-3 that resembles the way that Argentina play.

Could someone either provide a download+screenie link or point me to an appropriate thread. haven't found anything as of yet.

Argentina sort of played a 4-3-1-2 in the WC, not sure what they play atm.

I thought they only played 4-3-3 back in the 70's?

Argentina played a very weird 4-4-2 that could be called a 4-3-3. Didnt like it very much anyways. Most of the teams in Argentina play a diamond 4-4-2. With very attacking wingers and fullback. Of course lots of creative freedom. Wouldnt suggest using it unless you have a class team with lots of technique and flair. Buet set up something like this.

Metallity:
GK: 1
DC: 7
FB: 11
DM: 9
WG: 13
AM: 15
FC: 17

Team Instructions Id go for
Tempo: 1-5
Passing: 6-10
Width-10-15
Closing Down: Not sure about this. Check the players abilities. Id keep it low for most players due to the slow tempo.
Def Line: 10-15. But check the scout repot to make sure their strikers wont kill you with pace.

Thats about it. Just remember that Argentine style is to keep the ball on the ground. So try not to have cross often on too many players. Good Luck!
