What is the point is spending ages doin your tactics when you have 14 shots on target i qoute 3one-on-ones, 66% possesion ect ect. and score two goals. You opponent has 3 long shots from a player who has long sj=hot stats of 7 and scores all 3. No doubt i'll get moned at saying my tactics aren't good enough but how good do they have to be?? I am very dissapointed in this installment and looking aroud the forums there are many others who feel the sam way.

there are some frustrated posts but i think i remember one of the main criticism's of games gone by that there isnt enough random chance in fm...might be frustrating and need a lil tweaking but no one can complain that the matches dont have their random moments lol

Someone always has an answer rather than accepting the truth. Some people on here are like the subjects in the emperors new clothes, si say the game is good and Baaaa they all follow and shout down the many, many people who have expressed similar things.

The people who mention these things are then banned or given warnings to shut them up so si can continue to trumpet their faulty game and rip more people off by not accepting that the game is bugged to hell and back and sorting it out.

One day they may release a game that is bug free and doesn't need to be patched. Can you imagine Ford releasing a car that needs 2 or 3 new parts that only come out months after the car before it works properly?

And comparing the automobile industry and the software industry is nonsensical. The game has some bugs (as admitted by all and sundry) but it is not bugged to hell. If you can't win, see lots of incredible goals against, stupid defensive errors etc it is not because it is bugged but because you aren't actually very good at it. Coming to terms with that is hard.

I think FM07 is by far and away the best version of the series. You think it is terrible. Fair enough. However, to 'put down' those who enjoy it as SI's sheep is pretty insulting.

no offence wwfan (because you're the one who helps people the most in this forum) but i aint going to loose sleep over not being very good at a game. You've devoted hours to become so tactically clued up and that is something i'm just not prepared to do.

sorry but to blame my tactic on a 'stupid defensive error' shows exactlly what i'm saying.

My tactic is the formation and player instructions. Did i miss the slider for pathetic backwards header straight to opposition striker every 3 or 4 games? Or the slider that makes your full back stand and watch the ball go behind him while he just starts to run in the opposite direction while the opposition striker runs straight past him onto the ball, when it was obvious that the ball was going to land 3 foot behind the full back?

Give me an example of the latter happening in real life and i'll admit i'm wrong and post appologys to every member of this forum.

Maybe you think comparing cars to games is a bit silly, but you'd say that about any comparison. The fact remains that to release something that is known not to work properly is taking the **** out of us. Don't even try to tell me they didn't knowit was bugged. if every beta tester missed the scouting problem in the original version of 07, as well as the countless other bugs then they need to get their house in order and employ people who have eyes.

Well, I was going to apologize for being insulting, but you didn't seem to have a problem with it so I'll just say it:

That's an ignorant statement. NO software ever gets released "bug free." Every company provides occasional patches to improve faults found after release. FM2007 is far from perfect, yet it's still really good, and the more I've played with the tactics and training and all, the more I feel like I'm taking part.

Your assessment may reflect your feelings, but it doesn't even remotely reflect reality.

You may wish to climb on down from that crazy high horse of yours and just chat with the rest of us for awhile.

@ barcelonafc2005: To be honest, I worked most things out in a couple of days of testing. Everything I have posted since then relates to my logically adapting the tactics I outlined way back when for better and better quality sides. I have played 10 seasons in total since 7.0.2 was released, three in the last 7 days as I have taken a well-deserved week off work after meeting a hectic dealine which has allowed me some quality playing time. Up to a week ago, that was 7 seasons in 3 1/2 months, which I think is pretty average for an FMer. That I enjoy writing about it, and like to help, in no way reflects how much time I spend playing it.

@ CrazyHorseLegend: Are you saying no footballer ever makes mistakes? Obviously not. You are saying you see them too frequently. Fair enough. You may well be. I am saying you can fix that with some well thought out tactical adjustment. I am not saying it to be a fanboy or arrogant but because I have done it.

Just a quick pointer for your Liverpool game: against poor sides when top of the table, deepen, widen, slow down, shorten, be creative, loose mark, close down. You won't see as many mistakes any more.

ok so bug free is a bit extreme but but free of enough bugs to make it enjoyable.

Anyway i don't care what you all think tbh, there are far to many people saying the same thing for you to really pass it off as just bad tactics. Like i've stated before, i can win all the competitions over a few seasons, but the way you go on losing streaks is unrealistic, the fact that the AI can make a tactical change and you imediatly click on your tactic to counter it, but before your allowed to try to counter it they score. Irl i'd be able to shout it out onto the pitch, maybe they wouldn't get the message straight away but the neither would the opposition players.

How about when you bid the magic number needed to have a bid accepted, they WILL NOT accept lower (i even dl'd FMM to make sure i had the magic number), then they accept a lower bid from an AI team and said player goes to this lower rated team for a lesser squad role on less money and less bonuses and no european competition. Oh, they're not his favoure club either.
