Dear friends,

I was really struggling with tactics. Always tried new ones which I found on fmdownloads. Yesterday I was looking through the manual and tought: why should I not attempt to create a tactic of my own? So I wrote down some of the tips I found useful. That was the part of de team instructions. I chose the preset 4-4-2 Diamond Attacking formation, with a little bit of tweaking for the away tactic. Then I used the preset player instructions, with again a little tweaking regarding the away tactic.
I know have created a home and an away version, but I would like to ask you if you could try it out and may be give me some feedback.
I only tested each tactic in one match, Bolton away (won 2-0, with other tactics I was only losing..) and Everton at home (also a 2-0 victory).
By the way, I am playing with Man Utd.

Im not sure having tested it in two matches this is much motivation for anyone else to try it.


My suggestion is to develop a few tactics and test them over a couple of seasons, if they are still succesful, post them up with details on how they should be used, what teams and styles they will suit etc

Right, I finished my season with Man Utd, the results were:

2nd in Premier League (when I started my new tactics I had already lost 4 matches..)
Won the League Cup
Lost in semifinals of FA Cup to Chelski (very dubious goal..)
Lost in Champions League final to Barça

So it is not a spectaculair tacticsset, it still needs some work. But it is not bad at all.
Beacause the home-tactic is pretty attacking, I think it can best be used with good sides.
The away-tactic will work for less good sides as well.
