in case you play a lone striker, what kind of striker he is? a pacey one? high technique on pitch? or perhaps a big target man?
if its the first one ( pacey) then you probably want him to run with the ball alot, so give him often RWB, mixed FWR and rare long shots.. that way he keeps on dribbling all the way...

Very true. I play Milan and Ricardo Oliveira is doing wonderful for me, scoring goals after goals. I set him with FRW mixed, RWB OFTEN, long shots mixed (he has 14 attribute for that) and rest rare.
For his creative freedom, what I do is reduce individual slider -1 of his attribute. For example: Ricardo Oliveira got 12 creative freedom, so I set his individual instruction with 11. Instead, Gilardino got 18 creative freedom and I let his individual instruction with 17.
Hope it helps
