4-4-2 Project, potential 100 + points in a season!! Post #11 | | Registered User

Congrats, this is quite a special tactic. Somehow, the AI can't deal with the AMC running through the heart of the defence and the football is exciting to watch. Translates to quite a few goals as well.
After some games, I've noticed the AI starts packing the defence with bodies, and attacking you on the counter.
How is the scoring from corners? The corner routine does not seem as effective.

Thank you, nice to hear.
The idea was to drag the two central defenders to each side to create space for the AMC, which seems to be working well.
I have tried various corner tactics, and later found out that the best thing was to choose to aim at "penalty area" with one defender attacking the near post, no-one with near post flick-on and the rest attack ball from deep and some on far post. Seems to be working ok.
I would be very happy to receive some advice on how to avoid the counter-attacking goals from the opposition.

I think the tactic may well have a requirement for the 'right players'...I usually use a 4-1-3-2 tactic at Everton, similar attacking midfielder (Cahill) murders the defences scores loads... Tactic Team Instructions
I dont think Everton have the players for your tactic judging by my preseason...I have played 7 won 2 drawn 2 lost 3...Against some very ordinary opposition. I will concede though I am having a load of shots on goal (33 in one match)I am just not scoring (Johnson & Yakubu are both excellent strikers)...I think that things may change when Cahill & Baines return from injury.
I am going to keep it going until things change or I get the sack |

I will try this tactic with Hearts. Currently sitting 4th but cant seem to get any consistency, create plenty of chances but dont seem to score many will try this.
