..and all I was saying is that that's pretty close to what Barcelona's (many) youth coaches said at the time about Fabregas and Pique, and look at them now.

In a few words, if you expect something to happen in real life, although rarely, you should be pleased that it happens in FM08, even if it does not favor you personally.

completely realistic..... have you any idea how much talent has slipped through the man utd, arsenal, chelsea and liverpool youth teams only to find themselves in the prem a few years down the line?

if the scouts were perfect , the game would be unrealistic... and if thats what you are looking for , may i suggest something along the lines of fifa manager or the like?

even a 50% success rate at scouting the players would be wayyy over the top.. just see it like that

I'm just curious how Pique is being mentioned in the same breath as Fabregas. He's played in all of 6 matches this year last I checked. He certainly looks a good prospect but the jury is assuredly still out on him.
