Signing players too easy once you go professional...
hi, i'm a few games into my 3rd season as Harrogate Town. Won the Conf North in the first season, finished 9th in the Conf National, despite losing the first 4 games quite badly.
I've found both buying and selling players far too easy.
I've managed to sell players for far more than i should be able to. half of the players i've sold have been nothing more than poor to average conference players yet i've been offered hundreds of thousands of pounds for them. some of my better players who were good conference players have been bought for over a million.
Furthermore, at the end of the second season, my club announced it was turning professional. I thought this was a great announcement, since i don't remember anything like this happening on fm05 when the club went pro. Anyway, after that, my scouts began recommending a higher quality of players than before, in fact, some of them in the premiership (and very well known irl). i've ended up signing some very good players, that i wouldn't have expected to sign anywhere below the championship.
because of all these great new players i was now able to sign, i needed to flog off some existing players. expecting to get 20 odd thousand for each one, i was very surprised when i was selling them for 10 times that. a month into the season i now have a team far too good for the conference, about £10m in the bank, and a few players on wgaes of around £10k p/w.
on fm05, i could only dream of having that much money or those wages until i approached the premiership.
So in conclusion, i've found it far too easy to sign good players (seemingly as a result of going professional and the increased importance and significance it appears to now have) and sell bad players. It took me 10-15 seasons on fm05 to get a team this good.

i've put this in the GC forum as well, 'cos i think it's a pretty big problem for anyone playing in the lower leagues whether they follow the LLM 'rules' or not.
I'm not bragging or moaning, just saying that this shouldn't really be possible. my theory on the buying is that turning pro makes too big a difference to your reputation. on the selling players, i originally thought that bigger clubs placed too much importance on performances by players, somewhat ignoring the league that the performances were in, however now i have sold players for too much money when they haven't even played well.

I never had the problem with too large transfer fees after negotiating. Either I want to keep the player and thus refuse the offer instantly, or - when negotiating - I don't demand 20 times the initial fee since I would deem that unrealistic.

I have had offers of 2k up fornt and 30k if they score 10 league goals for 5k rated players. They eventually do score the goals and its happy days. Bit stupid in my opinion.

 I find that extremely hard to believe. Never seen that in the Gold demo.
