All leagues - Belgium, Denmark, England, Holland, Norway, Scotland, Argentina and Brazil (I want to visit the Copacabana after I'm done with Europe)
Frank the Llama told me to visit Belgium, and the little town of Torhout. The team is called Torhout 1992 KM.
2005/2006
Ended ninth in the league after a scare in the relegationzone. My cuprun ended pretty early as well, fourth round out of ten (we started in the third round...). Some ups and downs, this season may be most remembered for the sparkling 4-4 match against RC Waregem.
3rd Division: 9th, 9 points of relegation.
Oh, and England won the WC.
2006/2007
Better than last year with a nice sixth place in the league. Our cuprun ended earlier than expected with a lousy 1-0 loss against non-league Wevelgem. Found a few nice youngsters amongst the deadbeats. A nice little 20 y/o MR and a even better 16 y/o AMC/R can hopefully do the team some good.
3rd Division: 6th, 1 point away from playoff.
2007/2008
A season to remember! Our players (including Mr. 16 year and Mr 20 year) did extremely well. We ended up winning one of the three periods the league consists off and secured a playoff-spot. The 20 year old was picked up by Anderlecht for a decent amount of money, but luckily I got him to stay at my side for the rest of the season. Ended up at fith place with just the same amount of wins, draws, losses and points as the previous season. Finally my strikers were picking up the skill of scoring. Got kicked out of the cup in the fourth round (again).
3rd Division: 5th, 2 points away from playoff (but I don't care, secured one earlier!)
In the playoff we did really well. Struggled against Tongeren in the first leg of the quarterfinal, but hit back at them in the second getting a nice 6-5 result. In the semifinal we owned the 2nd div team Ronse with a nice 5-1 result. Faced Hoogstraten in the final, but my men kept there cool and we won 2-1. Great! Promotion secured!
As it goes very well in the league, it doesn't go that well in the economy. Our numbers are blood red, and that is after the sale of Mr. 20 year (now 21). Who cares about money anyhow...
And once again, England won something, This time the EC.
Frank sent me to Belgium too - Standard Wetteren. I'm just finishing my second season - so I'll have an update soon.
Winning a 10 match "period" to qualify for the play-offs is (as far as I'm aware) a unique way to organise the promotion contenders. It's conceivable that a club could finish in the bottom half of the league and still get promoted.
2008/2009
The first period was great. We won it and secured a promotion-seat. After that we did as normal, and ended up at 7th. The cuprun was a disaster, but that wasn't anything out of the ordinary.
2nd Division: 7th, 48 points after all of the 32 games.
The playoff went bad, won the first game - lost the rest. No promotion for us.
