This abuse has gone on long enough. True, it gets cold in Iceland in the winter but not as bad as everyone thinks. About 0°C in winter and 15°C in summer. Football is played in summertime, no ice then, ok? Breiðablik was actually the first club in the country to put under-soil heating on their turf, back in 1975. As a proud "Bliki" I am happy to tell that it was done by my uncle...still he's a jerk but that was a good thing.
Yes, this "abuse" went on for a whole two days!
Flosi, everything is good natured in here. Unless you start a wind up.
We are all aware that football in Iceland isn't REALLY played on ice. Here in Canada, we're referred to as the "Great White North" but temperatures where I live regularly reach 30°C in the summers. Not very white at that temperature, is it?
And yes, this is a save with WSM05, so I haven't really been keeping up with it when I have a save from 06 on the go.
Speaking of Iceland, though, whatever happened to our poster who started up his own lower league club?

Oh, and FFS, this is a resurected dead thread stop telling him to keep up the good work and go read/compliment his current update thread!

I have NFI what you are on about. </BLOCKQUOTE>
I've heard about it but don't know who that was or the name of the team. Tried to ask in the LLM forum but was rebuffed by those upstarts there. Apparently it's some kinda "House of Lords" around here. There is a film about a lower league team here in Iceland,Africa United, comprised entirely of foreigners. It's brilliant, I fell over with laughter.
lol...I don't even have a current update thread, Gillmacs. I've contemplated, but haven't posted it as of yet.
kov, there was a guy in here a few years ago, he was from Iceland and he apparently started his own, real life lower league club. I forget any of the other details, but I do know he started a club. I'm sure Ian remembers, if he actually reads these threads. I'm sure Pete would remember too, though. Or any of the long timers...Other than kov. Maybe we'll have to wait for Monday, and the bored at work posters.
