Well...You know..... I fink... it... you know....sort of....Good day. Errrrrmmm.....you know....... sort of....you know....Good match.
I mean..... you know..... errmmm... you know..... I fink....Good goal.
This reminded me, I was interviewing people for a job a few years ago and had had to put up with a steam of candidates who would not have been given jobs sweeping floors in MacDonalds The final candidate came in. Good CV, unfortunately a total inability to communicate. When he began to tell me about himself, after about the third "..you know.." I said " No, I don't know" and he looked at me as though I was stupid, I continued to answer each time he said it and after about 20 times he realised that he wasn't going to get the job so came to a mumbling halt. The interview was quickly terminated.

Ah, so you're the kind of person of whom it is said (usually from a failed interviewee, as they leave the room, to the others waiting their turn):
"Watch out for the old guy. He's a real bastard."

"we need to come out and play a full 60 minutes"
"we need to get the puck deep and get some chances"
"we need to play our game"
"we need to bury our chances"
"We need to stay out of the penalty box"
"We need to stick to our game plan and hopefully we will win"
And so forth- I think most pro athletes use the same (poor) script writer |

We can't worry about what they do, just concentrate on the guys in our dressing room.
If we keep working hard, the bounces will go our way.
You could go on, and on, and on.....

Following in the footsteps of my all-time legendary hero, the Russki who wound up at Caley Thistle, I have a Baltic chap with basic English coaching my kids at East Stirling. Turns out the English lads can understand him whereas they dinae ken the local bairns. :p

But (and here comes the on-topic)!
One of our norwegian players explained why it wasn't (yet) a problem. He spoke the international language of football.
Still, they have put him (the georgian) on a english-course, just in case.
It wasn't too off-topic, was it?
| Am I missing something? Why would a player playing in Norway having language difficulties be put on an English speaking course? Are they having a bit of a laugh with him?

Mr Biscuit, funny enough the English course was only once a year and the Georgian Strike did wonder why all the players came in shouting “Aprilsnarren” as soon as the class started. |
