I just finished my third season with a saved game that I started with the 6.0.3 patch, and I'm a bit puzzled that my reputation remains obscure. I've vastly exceeded expectations in all three seasons, have secured club finances, and have signed my second contract extension.
My team just finished third in my league and made it into the promotion playoffs, so I was hoping to climb up to local reputation. But it hasn't happened.
I'm wondering if this is also why I have not received a job offer. Countless jobs have opened up within my active country, but the offers all seem to go to crap managers who haven't done anything with their clubs but have at least a local reputation. Many managers who have been sacked have gotten jobs, but I have yet to receive a single offer despite outperforming just about every manager in the lower leagues.
Does it take especially long for manager reputation to increase with 6.0.3? Do job offers only come in once you've risen above obscurity?
Keep in mind that my nationality in the game is American, which is foreign to my active country, and I'm sure that this works against me a bit, but it's becoming unrealistic that I'm not receiving at least the most minimal credit possible.
I've found that job offers can be few and far between and then you'll be hit with several in a relativley quick time scale, depending on if you accept the offer or not.
I havent found my nationality, Scottish, a hinderence if i'm managing in a foreign country so i don't imagine that will have much of a bearing.
Your not an American managing in the middle east are you? That could pose some nationality related employment problems!
Don't want to dishearten you, but I'm in my fifth season with Hyde (6.03) and despite gaining promotion and securing finances etc I've still to receive a single job offer.
I don't mind too much, as I like taking a club as far as appears possible, but in the longer term it would be nice to think other clubs would be interested.

It is similar for me. I am now coming up to 2014 having started with Hyde, we are now standing in 3rd place in league 1. In all that time and with the continuing moves up the leagues, I have had 2 job offers; from Rushden and Diamonds, bottom of league two when I had just gained promotion to league 1; and earlier, from a club, whose name escapes me, who were bottom of the conference, just after I had gained promotion to league 2.
My reputation is local, having just changed from obscure. The team's reputation is still very poor as decent players from the conference refuse to consider a move to Hyde.
Still, I refuse to consider a move away unless a better team comes looking for me. My little team continues to baffle the pundits (and my Assistant) and that will do for me.
In my Naval game, despite 2 promotions and qualification for Europe, my reputation is 'Local'.
My nationality is 'English', so I can only assume that it's the reputation of the Portuguese leagues that's holding me back, as every barely-literate Premiership manager has been given the Real Madrid job at some point.
