Matt it is OK, untill Sky agrees that Harchester is non-obligatory option. What happens, when they decide it is obligatory? Will SI say no to all that money?

God, it's ages since I've posted here!

Anyway, as a fan of Dream Team, I thought "what the hell, let's see what it's like" and downloaded it thinking that I could start a game to mess aroound with, see what it's like, and remove the patch. Unfortunately by removing the patch I've buggered up my whole game, and am back to version 6.0 with patches that won't install!

I hate Harchester Utd now!

This last post should be used as a shining example of why silly patches should never be installed in your game

Note to self - Official patches are just as bad as unofficial ones at times

SKY doesn't make that decision. If SI didn't want to put them in the game, they wouldn't be in the game.

But was the financial offer too "good" to refuse? Or will it be in the future?

I genuinely doubt it'd ever be that good. I've seen SI turn down offers that I personally thought they were nuts to, but they understand their game and their audience better than anyone else.

Right just to put a glimmer of sanity into things before the internet rumour mongering gets into full swing.

* Yes we did shock of shocks place a Harchester download up on the site.
* This download is entirely optional and would never be any other way.

Why did we do it? - simply put a lot of FM fans also like the show and have in the past shown interest in such add-ons so we thought it was a nice OPTIONAL thing to do.

If you like the show download it and have fun, if you don't then ignore it and continue playing as you are.

(personally I haven't used it myself, but the fact that I'm not inclined to doesn't mean I think that people who will enjoy using it should be prevented from doing so - any more than the fact that some people use the 'pre-game editor' to cheat means we shouldn't release the editor with the game etc.)

Maybe we should re-adjust the SI bashing () to the scouting threads and genuine LLM issues. I mean if we get the likes of Vaughan in here with this rumor mongering we might as well get him in the proper threads...

Heh - you lot know I lurk around here now and again ... I keep an eye on all the various issues raised about the game as most people know and any suggestions and critiques made do help steer our future development.

(but as for whats happening in the next version - I'm afraid you'll have to wait a while, same as everyone else ... sorry )
