I've started a 0102 game and I'm still in my first season with Southport. Something funny that I did'nt think could happen just happened. I had 13 (that's right 13!!) youth players promoted to the reserve squad.

First of all 13 on the same day!! Are they running some kind of factory in my youth setup? Second of all, in the first season!!

I thought a shitload of players had to retire first.

Anyway a few of them are looking quite promising, the rest will get a year or so to prove themselves.

My Telford Reserve squad also got crowded by Youth Products during mid-March 2001 and afterwards in my upgoing 0102 save.

Funny how you forget those small nice features with time.

When your main playing time lies between 6.30am and 7.00am 0102 offers quite nice progression on a reasonable modern machine.

I am also still playing 01-02, even with FM5 laying around in the drawer. The speed of it indeed is the main reason for me playing it, but I also feel that the game has gotten too detailed in some areas the last years.

01/02 was my favourite game ever.

01/02 was good, one of the best ever, the best until FM2006 came along, and some still say it's the best.

I couldn't go back, but it was certainly a favourite.
